California Praise Jam?

So I was paging through the member list and noticed we've got a decent handful of members in California. Is anybody up for getting a bunch of people together who like doing praise and worship and having a praise jam (what I sometimes like to call "Really Loud God Noise")? I'm not necessarily saying anything massive, but it would be fun to throw down and praise Him with as many loud voices as we could round up.

I'm in Monterey, so I'm fairly central. I'd be willing to host it at my house if we did it over a weekend and there weren't too many people, though "too many" is relative to how comfortable we all are around each other and I've got a decent sized house. If someone else wants to host, or suggest a venue, by all means go for it. We're just making this up as we go along right now.

Weekends are all that's good for me, my work schedule is kind of hectic. I'm just going to pick a weekend in the next month or so completely at random and see how it flies for everybody. *walks to calendar and points....* 11October! How does that sound? Too soon? To far off? You'd rather do it Friday night? There's a really awesome concert that night that you want to go to (tell me who it is please?)?

Oh, and if we do it at my house, my wife and I will probably be cooking so if anybody has any taste quirks or food allergies, let us know so nobody dies.

I think that sounds awesome!! Don't know if we could do it in October or not. Paul coaches football and they play all their games on Saturday. But, please don't try to accommodate our schedule, as it is ALWAYS hectic. Just let us know what date you decide on, and we will try to make it. Thanks for the great idea and God Bless you!

You're the only one who'se voiced an opinion thus far, and it's getting pretty close to the date I'd suggested, so unless a bunch of people say "Hey that date sounds perfect, let's party!" I'm willing to work with you as much as you need. Just keep us posted!

OKAY - TIME TO REVIVE THIS THING - LET'S DO IT BROTHER !

With the musicians and singers we already have, combined with the other members of Emmaus, this could be awesome !
And who knows, maybe it leads to something bigger, on a statewide level. My vision would be to see huge "Praise Jams" that draw the churches and Christians from all over California to worship and praise together. What a great vehicle to bring unity and edify His church. And reach others for Jesus...............but I'm getting ahead of myself.

Let's start by planning an Emmaus Living Praise Jam ! Call me when you get back from Montana, bro. Lots to talk about ......................
