When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'." I'm whispering "I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven." When I say... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak And need His strength to carry on. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed And need God to clean my mess. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible But, God believes I am worth it. When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches So I call upon His name. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow! I know that is hard to comprehend, but that's the point. His love for us is so unbelievably never ending. It doesn't matter if you have rejected Him all your life. He loves you so much and is waiting for you to love Him back and come home!/////////////////////////////////////////////////////Ya know, it has been said that everyone is born with a "God shaped hole" in their heart and we all spend our life searching for different things trying to fill that void, everything from money to people to substances; but nothing will ever make the ache of the void go away til we place God back in that hole. That is why you see people never happy in relationships or rich people with all the toys in the world still unhappy inside or movie stars falling apart before our eyes. It doesn't matter what we achieve or acquire in this lifetime we will always feel empty til that "hole" is filled. The God that made us is the only person that can ever fill that void. I know this all too well!//////////////////// I am just me! I am a single father, a Christian, an ex-biker, a boater and water-skier, a self employed business owner and a great friend. You could say I have gone through many changes over the last several years. I went from being married to brokenhearted, then to trying to be a bad boy, to finding my true father in Christ again and the reason I am here. I am certainly not a perfect squeaky clean goody-goody Christian. I am no wimp! I think that's a big misconception about Christians. The world sees us as wimpy and frail, but it takes a lot stronger person to stand up for what they believe and go against the grain of the world, than it does to melt in with what everyone thinks is cool! I was there once, and still have to struggle every day with things, and am tempted to follow the devil down different paths. Sometimes I even fail! But, my God always picks me up, dusts me off, opens His arms and welcomes me home.////////////////// Yes, I am single, Praise the Lord. He has picked me up and healed me and revealed Himself to me in such a big way! I have been a Christian for a very long time, but have just recently gotten to know the Lord in the last few years. As humans we tend to rely on everything else instead of God. In some instances He has to take everything away to get our attention. That's what it took in my case, and I am so thankful. I am however looking for that one special woman, someone that shares my values and morals and has a great relationship and love for God. I have certainly had my share of the dating scene. Are there any sane women left out there? I don't think so! Ok I am kidding.(well maybe!)
