Stand and Be Counted

This past weekend Jimmy and I (Cate) had the pleasure of playing with Richard Andrew at Stand and Be Counted in Vacaville.

Can I just say: WOW.

What a blessing to be asked to come and share:

Many who lifted their hands to show their desire to be closer to Him

Many who stood, hand-in-hand with their mates, to ask Him to become more of a focus in their marriages.

Many lives dedicated to the Lord, including a man who the evening before had HELD A KNIFE TO HIS OWN THROAT. He pledged himself to the Lord that day.
We have had the honor of seeing, at this point, countless people come to the foot of the cross - nothing is more exhilarating! - but this man, this new brother... though broken and weeping, was SHINING. He was so ready to come home! He was so ready to leave his old life behind! He was SO ready for those arms of love and mercy and grace and redemption.

Tears of joy were shed for each life given to God this past Saturday, in the sun and heat of the afternoon, in a small park in the middle of Northern California, while the angels rejoiced.

We were surrounded by people who love the Lord and willingly serve Him with full and loving hearts, who opened their arms and homes and tables to fellowship with us. We got to spend Sunday morning worshiping and learning in an atmosphere that felt just like home.
Again, WHAT A BLESSING!


And we get to do it this weekend, too!
We will again be playing with Richard Andrew at Spirit West Coast at 11:30 on the Main Stage. We are anticipating miracles!
